  1. Susan,

My team of teachers all have individual white boards we had cut at Home Depot. We live in the Carpet Capital, and no one has even thought of using carpet samples as the erasers. I will be doing that next week when we return to school.

The beauty of the white boards, is that each student answers with more than just an A, B, C, D (like with Student Response Systems) so the “assessment” can be more accurate. I use them as a way to brainstorm, to do a quick reviews of daily goals, and in games…Geopardy (I teach Social Studies/Geography). All students answer all questions, while for points only the student whose turn it is qualifies for team points. I can make adjustments for future lessons, based on the answers I see on the white boards. The stress of a “test” is gone, and yet I still know what needs to be re-delivered in upcoming lessons.

Anyway…great to find you. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Keep up the great work and service.

    Ric
